Hi, I’m Missy.

Welcome!

I’m so happy you’re here.

I began teaching yoga in September 2007, when after a very difficult time in my life, I realized how much practicing yoga helped me to heal and feel more peace within myself. I had spent my twenties and early thirties in a stressful, high-level sales and marketing career in both New York City and Los Angeles. I now found myself living in Naples, FL to raise my young son, with my life turned upside down. I took a leap of faith, left the corporate world behind, and decided to follow my heart and forge a new career path...one that felt meaningful and purposeful, helping others to feel their best physically, mentally, and spiritually. I’ve never looked back…and now almost 15 years later, I am blessed to have helped hundreds, if not thousands of students over that time.

It's been quite a journey, and it continues! I trained and earned my certification with Baron Baptiste, and along the way I have also studied with many incredible and inspiring teachers such as Erich Schiffman, Steve Ross, Yogi Amrit Desai, Mark Whitwell, Sean Johnson, Saul David Raye, and many others. My teaching style has certainly evolved over the years, as I have evolved on my spiritual path. I teach group classes and work with students one-on-one in gentle yoga, flow yoga, yoga stretch, meditation, yoga nidra, kirtan, mantras and affirmations, and much more. In 2017, my journey unexpectedly led me to begin blending my background in the Eastern traditions of yoga and meditation with my Jewish heritage. I was honored to be asked to attend a training with Rabbi Adam Miller of Temple Shalom in Naples, FL at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, and since 2018, we have been co-facilitating Wise Aging classes both in person at the Temple and virtually on Zoom. This program has been such a success that my role as spiritual teacher at Temple Shalom has expanded into teaching classes in Jewish Spirituality (mindfulness practice applied to soul traits) and Jewish Yoga (weaving spiritual lessons from Torah into yoga classes). About My Music

Starting in 2011, I began learning about the path of Bhakti Yoga and kirtan. I fell in love with chanting and singing, and expressing the love in my heart through my voice. I taught myself how to play harmonium, the traditional instrument for kirtan (I had never played an instrument before!). I discovered that I felt a burning desire to express myself through my own songs and lyrics, and I put out my first CD of original chants and songs called "Kirtan" in 2014, followed by my debut studio album "Revealed" in 2016. I had no idea that I could write music and lyrics, but it flowed out of me as an outlet to share my love, devotion and authentic self. "Revealed" is, as its name suggests, very personal and intimate, offering you an intimate glimpse into my soul's journey. Called a "spiritual rocker" by Yoga Chicago magazine, "Revealed" is a unique and eclectic sound, composed of traditional Sanskrit mantras fused with my own inspirational and heartfelt lyrics.

For about 7 years I sang my heart out, leading kirtans at least monthly in Naples, FL, and also touring, teaching and performing at yoga and music festivals all across the country. In the last few years, I have branched out musically and began performing with psychedelic rock band B432 as lead singer, recording another studio album called "The Love Frequency Band" in 2019. At the same time, I started an '80s new wave cover band called "The Love Cats," which allowed me to express a whole other side of myself musically. In 2022, I started writing again, and released two new singles, “Burn” and “Now,” available on all streaming platforms!

Thank you for being here. My deepest wish is to serve, inspire and light up the world with love. Please reach out to me if I can be of service to you on your own journey.

With so much love & gratitude,
Missy
